A home filled with diverse colors and shapes, as well as pop elements, forming a style that is truly unique—our style! There’s a popular saying: “The shoemaker’s children go barefoot.” That couldn’t be further from the truth here. We’ve put the same care and dedication into our personal space as we do in our professional projects. We believe what turns a house into a home is the attention to detail.

At Downtown Apartment, we decorated with accessories, furniture, and objects gifted by loved ones or from brands that represent who we are, what we believe in, and our values. Our commitment: to give shape to stories. 

 

Weekends are the happiest moments at home. We love feeling the energy radiated by the atmosphere we’ve created. Listening to our vinyl record collection is a weekend tradition! It’s the perfect moment to start brainstorming our projects and reflecting on how they will influence our lives. These moments inspire connections, trips, and creations.The open-plan connection between the living and dining rooms created a functional space with seamless integration and comfort in every corner. The goal of the Downtown Apartment renovation was to reflect our personality without tearing everything apart, preserving our essence and the vibrant colors we love.

We opted for light and neutral tones to contrast with the blue-gray cabinetry, an original feature of this 1970s apartment, along with bold color accents in furniture, lighting, and the original red door. The right ambiance creates a sensory experience, elevating the joy and significance of each moment.

At Downtown Apartment, we focused on creating an inviting environment—a celebration of the senses. The original inlaid wood flooring is stunning! To preserve it, we had to remove and restore it. We also updated all the dining area furniture, including the dining table by designer and visual artist Jacqueline Terpins and the “Chuva” chairs by architect and designer Leo Romano, both available at Movelaria Brasileira.

The lighting design, handled by Interpam+Luz, perfectly enhanced the intimate areas of the apartment. During the renovation, we integrated the social bathroom and the master bathroom, adding practicality and fluidity to our daily routine. For privacy, we installed a sliding acoustic partition that glides over a beige Bahia marble bench, completely separating the two spaces.

When the partitions are tucked away, the feeling is akin to being in a spa. The standout feature of the decor is the “Gouche” collection tiles (Portobello Shop Goiânia), which bring vibrancy and strength to the space.

The colors, in shades of pink and green, paired with backlit lighting, create our zen retreat, the perfect haven for moments of relaxation.
